Re: question for frank

What i mentioned previously about the future of this class growing Frank, you mentioned that you would like for this to become "national" . I have 2 sons racing in California, both in street stocks 1 @ Medara speedway and the other @ stockton 99. both tracks in the streetstock division allow stock clip cars with fabricated rears. they have an average car count of about 30 cars each. Imagine how many of those would kill to race at a track like Bristol, Rockingham or even Fontana or Vegas!
" I'm Just Sayin"... Have a great day everybody!

Re: question for frank

do you guys use stock front firewall in place and stock floor boards,if you can get these guys to sign a cotract to come, there might be something that can be done as long as the frame is stock past the rear trailing arm mounts

Re: question for frank

Frank, I don't think the firewall has to be stock, just steel. These cars he's talking about only have the stock frame up to about where the drivers seat is, and it's fabricated from there back. This would include the trailing arm mounts. Most likely they are going to have a 3-link rear setup.

Re: question for frank

How many of those guys would actually drive cross country to come race a street stock race? Yea it all sounds like a blast when your hangin out in the shop shootin the breeze, but when race weekend comes its a differnt story. When everything factors in, (tires, fuel, roof blade, rpm chip= all requirments + tow-rig fuel & ware and tear, travel time, vacation days from work, etc....) then how many guys will there be in the convoy? Probly 2 or 3 if you all chip in together.
but I'm just sayin

Re: question for frank

Sorry guys, have been out of town for a couple days.

As far as allowing fabricated cars with stock clips to compete, we will not be looking to go this way with our series. Period. Safety is always our no. 1 concern, but allowing a fabricated stock clip car would open a big can of worms. Overall, the cars that we have been getting the past few races have been doing an excellent job at improving the safety of their cars.

Our safety team will continue to address any concerns regarding the integrity of all race cars that compete in the street stock nationals. But remember, safety is everyone's responsibility. If you don't feel that your car is safe, fix it! I'll be happy to help anyone in regards to the safety of their car.

Thanks,

Frank
