are kimmel motor ran real well at the firecracker race at Salem,for all the Kimmel cars that stayed home you missed a good race

Ours did very good as well. just used a little less gear. Unfortunately my cool box quit working and I couldnt get the job done. Gettin old i guess.

Tony, me and clint are considering coming to the halloween race if we have anything left after bristol. What gear do street stocks run there and how many rpm do they turn?

I wish the economy could afford a halloween race at salem like they had in the 1990's. One hundred cars starting 3 wide, it was a trip.

I used my "kimmel engine" Sunday in the firecracker 200 lead some laps and finished 2nd if it wasn't for the
msd ignition starting to go out on the last restart I honestly believe I could have hung right with the 00 and I
only turned it 6000 rpms and was 4th fastest in the first practice, didn't go out during the second

WE run our kimmel engine every where we race, cra,salem we just run a little less gear than most of our compeiters.We were 5th fastest at salem in practice we were good in the race untill a flat tire that resulted in a green flag pit stop we turn about 6300 rpms

I thought the motors were only supose to turn 5000?

Remember, they're talking about using the engine built for the Kimmel races, but in NON Kimmel sanctioned races. This means they run with the rules of whomever is putting on the race, and are not required to run the rev limiter. In the Kimmel races, the rev limit is in fact 5000 RPM.
